What the work is
Complete shaft line work for ships and tugs
Shaft line work covers the whole line rather than one component: the shaft itself, its couplings, its bearings, the seals, and the alignment of the line from the gearbox to the propeller.
Alignment is the reason this is a line and not a list. A shaft that is straight and a bearing that is within limits can still destroy each other if the line they sit in is not true.
Complete shaft line work has been carried by the marine division since 2015.
