Before cutting
Components are measured and drawn first. On reverse engineered work, wear is separated from design intent so the new part does not inherit the old fault.

During manufacture
Work is made to the drawing, with material and treatment called out on it. Machining of engineering components sits inside the certified scope.

Before it leaves
The made part is checked against the drawing and against the item it replaces. Fitting the drawing is not enough on its own.

At handover
Work is handed over against the scope agreed at the start, with the drawing produced along the way.
